The Rhuddlan Borough Talking Newspaper
The Rhuddlan Borough Talking Newspaper was set up in 1984. In the early days, we had over three hundred listeners who received the local news and magazine articles on a C90 cassette.
Today our numbers have declined significantly and we send out on average fifty recordings a week on a memory stick having gone digital four years ago. Each listener was provided with an MP3 player known as a boom box. The local news is taken from the Rhyl Journal.
Our premises are in the ‘Old Bakehouse’, 1, Victoria Avenue, Prestatyn. LL19 9DF. Tel No: 01745 888066.
The ‘Old Bakehouse’ consists of a reception room, a soundproof recording studio, a technician’s room, a registration office, a kitchen and toilet facilities.
Should anybody wish to receive the Talking Newspaper then contact the studio.
