Eyesight is a local charity set up to support the work of the eye unit based at the Abergele Hospital, promote research where possible, fund or part fund items of equipment and fund training courses if appropriate to the needs of the Stanley eye unit.
At Eyesite, we aim to fund or part fund items of equipment and training courses as appropriate. Stanley Eye Unit Unit sees approximately 40,000 patients a year and undertakes some 6000 surgical procedures, it is a very busy unit deserving of support. The money raised from this calendar will go directly to the unit so thank you to all the students at Coleg Llndrillo who have created such great art.

The eye dept. deals with approximately 40,000 scheduled appointments and around 6,000 surgical procedures plus casualties per year, this is a very busy place to be and is deserving of everyone’s support. Eyesight does not exist to plug gaps in the N.H.S. system but to compliment the statuary provision to help maintain the excellent reputation which has been achieved through the hard work of a dedicated team of doctors, nurses and all the support staff.
EYESIGHT raises it’s funds from grant applications or direct fund raising efforts these have included coffee mornings, raffles, recycling projects such as stamps, mobile phones etc. we have also been able to call on some brave and adventurous spirits to undertake more spectacular events such as long distance cycling, parachute jumping and marathon running.
